ART SPACE TOKYO

Art Space Tokyo is an in-depth guidebook featuring interviews with key figures in the Japanese art scene. Centered on twelve of Tokyo's most architecturally and historically distinctive galleries and museums, it gives readers an intimate look at the stories behind these art spaces.

Made in collaboration with designer and publisher Craig Mod and artist Nobumasa Takahashi, the physical book is lovingly designed and produced: its clothbound two-color silk screen, foil stamped covers enclose over fifty ink illustrations on Japanese paper throughout, and a sewn-in bookmark.

The second edition was published by Pre/Post Books in 2010. In 2012 the book was published on Kindle, iBooks and Nook platforms. The complete contents are now available online at read.artspacetokyo.com, with a greatly expanded timeline and appendices.
